The Cazanga is a 2400 m³ multi-purpose trailing suction hopper dredger that is suitable for a wide range of maintenance and dredging works. It is a vessel with a suction tube with an internal diameter of 700 mm, which allows the vessel to dredge to a maximum depth of 25 meters.

Furthermore, a system is used in which the dredging material is pumped to the coast via a floating line. This makes the Cazanga an ideal ship for local conditions.

Our scope was called in for mechanical engineering, piping and foundations. This includes routing all piping based on the designed P & IDs, creating foundation drawings for equipment and making installation drawings, ISOs and layouts of technical rooms.

All work was performed using the 3D CAD package CADmatic and AutoCAD / Microstation for 2D drawing work. All this from Vlissingen, where we could work directly on a IHC Merwede server via a VPN connection. The advantage of this is that our client can see our performance and respond proactively.
